Cooper was entranced. She didn’t know if Ky realized he was doing it, but the entire time they were talking and driving down the road, he was stroking and rubbing her hand. Shivers of delight coursed through her, it dawned on Cooper it would be entirely possible for her to come very near having another orgasm, just from the touch of his hand on hers. Never would she have considered she could have this type of response to a man. She didn’t know for sure, but Cooper suspected it wouldn’t be every man, just this man.

As they neared the restaurant, Ky stopped caressing her hand. “I better get a grip on myself a minute. If I keep touching you, I’ll be walking into that establishment with my dick leading the way. I used to ride rodeo. At my height and weight, I was more suited to bull dogging. Do you know what that is?”

Smiling at his blatant confession, Cooper didn’t mind his putting both hands on the wheel. “Yes, you ride in on a horse and rope a calf, then jump down and wrestle him to the ground and tie his little legs together.”

Cooper smiled up at him and her heart contracted. Falling for him was one of the easiest things she had ever done. “In a nutshell, yes.” Turning off the road, he pulled into the driveway of a quaint little Italian restaurant. “I also like to read.”

“Oh, me too. What genre do you prefer?”

“Horror, suspense, history, almost anything.” He opened the door for her and then held her by the waist, lowering her to the ground, letting her slide down his body as he did so.

“Ky,” she groaned. “Now, I’m all tingly, I won’t be able to eat.”

“Yes, you will. I just don’t want you to forget what we have to look forward to when we get home.”

“Like I could forget.” She held on to his arm as he escorted her to the restaurant door. The hostess led them to a secluded little corner, where a bottle of champagne chilled in an ice bucket. “Oh, Ky, you said wine, there was no mention of bubbly stuff.”

“Do you like champagne, baby?” He held her chair out so she could sit, the helped her remove the little red jacket.

“I’ve never had any, but I can’t wait to try some.” The waiter uncorked the champagne and poured them each a glass, leaving the rest of the bottle under Ky’s watchful care.

Cooper took her first sip, smiling as the bubbles tickled her nose. “How does it taste?’

“It’s good, a little sweet, a little fruity, I love it.” She smiled at him sweetly, and he smiled back. Anybody that passed their table would know that they were right where they wanted to be.

“Let’s see, we were talking about books. What do you like to read?” Ky cut them both a small chunk of bread and spread a dollop of creamy butter on each, he held out a piece for her to take a bite.
